Get in Touch
As with any bespoke service, the text on this page really just gives an indication of what's possible - let's speak.
Pricing and Process
I hope that this page will provide some clarity around the services I am able to provide; every child's needs are different, and so too must their support be.
1
Initial Consultation and Assessment
Before beginning to work with a family, a period of fact finding and consultation is essential. This allows me to get a clear sense of what is required, but also to get a better sense of what is likely to be possible. I will always be honest on this count, from the outset.

As part of this process, we will arrange for an initial session for me to meet your child, whether in person or virtually; this helps me to gauge how we would work together as well as the precise support that they need. There is no charge for that initial session, or for initial time spent with you in consultation.

Often, some parental support is also necessary, especially where wider habit building is required - for example building a reading routine, or making sure that time is afforded to any self study that needs to happen between sessions. I always communicate this when it is needed, to ensure that your child derives as much benefit from our time together as possible.
2
Online or In-Person
I offer online and in-person tutoring for ages 9 to 21, and for all exam courses as well as school entrance. I work with families all around the world, and most of my tutoring is online. Given the intensity of demand for UK tutoring after school, and the travel time involved, in-person tutoring is far easier to schedule before 4pm during the school week.
I do not charge extra for travel expenses, although I do sometimes need to charge an additional £40 for in person tutoring where the travel time is significant, reflecting the additional time involved in travelling to you.
3
Holiday Support - Intensive - High Impact
I am able to deliver intensive and high impact support during school holidays. Usually arranged in week blocks, these courses can be run wherever you are during the break, whether in the UK or overseas. These courses will be tailored precisely to your child's needs and circumstances, and are also available for groups at no additional cost.

Please get in touch to discuss options.
4
Lesson Sharing
There is no additional charge for a second student; two siblings or friends can share the cost of one lesson. Often this is easier to facilitate virtually.
For groups larger than two, a small additional fee may apply, depending on whether additional preparation will be necessary. Please enquire for details.
5
Pricing
My usual rate is £110-£170 per hour of contact time, depending on: how much preparation will be required for each session, whether our sessions will be during or after school hours, and how much travel time is involved.

Discounts are possible for block bookings of 10 sessions or more (10%), for multiple consecutive sessions (EG where two children are tutored one after the other, or where different topics are covered in two consecutive sessions - also 10%), and for intensive holiday support.
